At Midwest Paramedical, we have a set list of tips and guidelines that can show favorably in your lab results. While our guidelines help individuals receive more accurate lab work it does not affect existing underlying medical issues.
Lab Work
If lab work has been requested applicants should do the following:
- Be Fully Hydrated By Drinking Water
- We Recommend Fasting 4 Hours Before Your Scheduled Exam
- Know Your Prescriptions & Daily Supplements
- Try Not To Work Out Or Strain Yourself 2 Hours Before The Exam
- Eating Healthy 24 Hours Prior
- Avoiding Alcohol At Least 24 Hours Before Your Scheduled Exam
EKG
If an EKG is ordered, it is suggested to do the following:
- Do Not Use Moisturizer The Day Of
- Wear Comfortable Clothing
- Avoid Hosiery If Possible
- Trim Chest & Shin Hair If Needed
Medical History
If a full medical history is required, we suggest the following tips:
- Provide Information To The Best Of Your Recollection
- Have Address & Phone Numbers Of Your Treatment Facilities
